Weather Station Specifications and Sensor Accuracy
1. VP Weather Station (Wireless)
Collect: Rain, inside temperature, outside temperature, inside humidity,
outside humidity, barometric pressure, wind direction, wind speed, windchill,
dewpoint, heat stress, moonphase, sunrise, sunset, date and
time. As this is a wireless station ,
there is more flexibility in regards to expansion with other wireless substations such as
multiple individual air temperature, soil temperature, water temperature, soil
moisture, and leaf wetness sensors (and evapotranspiration).
With Software: Additionally measures heating degree days, cooling degree days,
and fuel oil demand.
2. VP Weather Station (Wireless) Plus
Collects the same data as above and also includes UV and solar radiation
sensors. As this is
a wireless station ,
there is more flexibility in regards to expansion with other wireless substations such as
multiple individual air temperature, soil temperature, water temperature, soil
moisture, and leaf wetness sensors (and evapotranspiration).
With Software: Additionally measures heating degree days, cooling degree days,
fuel oil demand, sunburn risk for each skin type, and solar energy.
3. VP Weather Station Wired
Collect: Rain, inside temperature, outside temperature, inside humidity,
outside humidity, barometric pressure, wind direction, wind speed, windchill,
dewpoint, moonphase, sunrise, sunset, date and time. This station requires a wire to be run from the outside station to the console/interface for viewing data.
With Software: Additionally measures heating degree days, cooling degree days,
and fuel oil demand.
4. VP Weather Station Wired Plus
Same as item 3, but with UV and also solar radiation sensors.
With Software: Additionally measures heating degree days, cooling degree days,
fuel oil demand, sunburn risk for each skin type, and solar energy.
Note: All stations include solar power. Additional solar power can be added if necessary. The station's radiation shield protecting the temperature sensor from solar radiation and other sources of radiated or reflected heat, is available in the passive non-aspirated version or the optional aspirated unit for higher accuracy.
